What does it mean to stand at a threshold—between versions of the self, between roles, between worlds?
IL BIVIO: Fragmented Feminine – The Art of Becoming was the inaugural exhibition of Nomad Art Collective, and with it, we asked both artists and viewers to explore the fragmented, evolving nature of identity. Set within the raw, unrenovated space of our future gallery in Sambuca di Sicilia, the exhibition embodied the very themes it presented: transformation, vulnerability, and becoming.
Curating this first show was an act of alignment—between concept, space, and the artists whose work speaks to the shifting dimensions of the feminine. We chose pieces that deconstruct traditional forms and explore what it means to move through transition with strength and sensitivity.
Featured artists included:
-
Carla Sutera Sardo, whose staged photographs offer poetic and intimate narratives of the female body in flux.
-
Simone Geraci, blending classical forms and abstract gesture to explore emotion and inner states.
-
Michele Bono, using raw textures and repetition to echo psychic patterns.
-
Pietro Motisi, whose multidisciplinary work reflects on place, memory, and layered identity.
The response to IL BIVIO confirmed what we sensed all along: that people are hungry for art that speaks to liminality—where nothing is fixed, but everything is felt.
