Anna Kennel is a Sicilian painter and printmaker whose practice spans etching, lithography, and painting. Born and based in Palermo, she studied at the Accademia di Belle Arti of Palermo and continued her training at the International Schools of Graphic Arts in Venice and Urbino. Beginning her career in 1971 with a strong foundation in printmaking, Kennel has developed a pictorial language of clarity and precision.

Her compositions, often botanical and architectural, exude a Mediterranean sensibility through vibrant colord and delicate detail. Balancing intimacy and monumentality, her work conveys an environmental awareness while celebrating poetic connections between microcosm and macrocosm.

With a career that has included more than 300 exhibitions in Italy and abroad, Kennel has established herself as a versatile and deeply committed voice in contemporary Sicilian art.
