Max Serradifalco
Max Serradifalco is a visual landscape artist based in Palermo. In 2011, driven by a passion for nature and experimentation, he conceived Web Landscape Photography, a project through which he travels the planet virtually, using only satellite maps in search of a new way of seeing the Earth. His images know no manipulation: they reveal the drawings nature has already traced, hidden among deserts, bays, coral reefs and mountain ranges, waiting for an eye patient enough to recognize them.
In his work the view from above becomes an act of wonder, dissolving the boundaries between travel, photography, geography and digital art. It is an aesthetic project with an ethical heart, a celebration of the beauty of the Earth that becomes a quiet appeal for its protection. His works have traveled from Museo Riso in Palermo to the Capitoline Museums in Rome, from Manifesta 12 to the Bangladesh pavilion at the 58th Venice Biennale, and today live in public and private collections.
