Foundation, an Artsy Online Viewing Room dedicated to the intaglio prints of Palermo-based artist Simone Geraci, opens June 1st — and we wanted to bring it to you first.
Nearly 25 limited edition prints, drawn from key moments across Geraci’s practice, will be available to view through July 31st, 2026. The works span etching, aquatint, dry-point, and multi-plate printing on zinc
Each is a small, precise, quietly extraordinary work of art.
Geraci trained in graphic arts and printmaking at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Palermo, and the discipline has remained central to his practice. His prints are intimate in scale, the kind of work you lean into rather than step back from.
The titles are in German: Der Traum — The Dream. Die Träumerin — The Dreamer. Echos. Oltre — Beyond. The language points toward the territory these images inhabit: the interior, the suspended, the not-quite-expressible. Geraci’s figures embody their own experience in a way that feels like catching someone in an unguarded moment.
These are limited edition works, with editions as small as five. Once they are gone, they are gone.
