Anna Kennel is a Sicilian painter and printmaker whose practice encompasses etching, lithography, and painting. Born and based in Palermo, she trained at the Accademia di Belle Arti of Palermo and continued her studies at the International Schools of Graphic Arts in Venice and Urbino. Since beginning her career in 1971, Kennel has participated in over 300 exhibitions in Italy and internationally, developing a visual language defined by clarity, discipline, and quiet intensity. Her carefully structured compositions often draw from botanical and architectural forms, subtly addressing environmental fragility and human intervention in natural systems. She lives and works in Palermo."
