Simone Geraci’s prints presented in Foundation draw from key moments across nearly a decade of his printmaking practice. Working across etching, aquatint, drypoint, and multi-plate printing on zinc, he builds his images through patient layering of line and tone. The crosshatched surfaces of his portraits are not backgrounds or textures in the conventional sense. They are the image.
