Carla Sutera Sardo lives and works in Agrigento, Sicily. After graduating in law, she turned fully to photography, a practice she developed entirely as a self-taught artist beginning with self-portraiture. Her work centers on the female body and its relationship to landscape, producing images that feel suspended in time and rooted in a dreamlike sensibility. Her photographs have been published in Vogue Italia and L'Œil de la Photographie, and recognized with international awards including the Sony World Photography Awards, the Siena International Photography Awards, and the Prix de la Photographie.
