A path curves in from the lower edge and carries the eye toward the centre, where everything gives way to white. On either side the trees hold on in muted browns and greys. There is no horizon left to find. The title turns on that emptiness, the nothing that opens at the end of the infinite.

Samantha Torrisi was born in Catania and lives and works on the slopes of Mount Etna. Trained at the Academy of Fine Arts in Catania, she paints from the volcano's weather and the light of the Sicilian horizons, letting landscape and memory settle into one another.
