Pietro Motisi is a Sicilian artist whose introspective practice explores the relationship between humanity and territory. He began working in photography in 2002, before earning a degree in Documentary Photography from the University of Wales, Newport, in 2012. Working primarily with film, Motisi creates architectural and landscape images that unfold as contemplative visual essays, blending cultural inquiry with a surreal sensibility. Recently, he has expanded his practice to watercolor, creating small, intimate works. These studies of light open a new space of expression, worlds in miniature that offer harmony and freedom.
