In Alicudi, Pietro Motisi captures the quiet intensity of one of the smallest and most remote Aeolian islands. Working on site, he translates the landscape’s shifting light and mood into watercolor, guided by instinctive connection to the natural world.
Through five intimate works, Motisi returns to a single western viewpoint — revisited like a recurring thought. Each painting becomes a fragment of memory: light fading into shadow, form dissolving into abstraction. The sea, horizon, and time itself blur into tone and texture.
