Nomad Art Collective

Nomad Art Collective is a contemporary art gallery based in Sicily, working with artists living and producing work on the island.

The gallery works with artists whose practices are shaped by the island’s physical, cultural, and psychological landscapes.

Nomad’s focus is to position Sicily as an active site of contemporary artistic production and to bring international visibility to artists whose work emerges from the island’s layered histories and evolving realities. Through exhibitions and long-term collaborations, Nomad creates connections between local artistic voices and a global audience, advancing visual narratives grounded in place, memory, and the human experience.

The Gallery Team

Meredith Tabbone is the owner and gallerist of Nomad Art Collective. Her relationship to Sicily is both personal and generational.

Living between the United States and Sicily, Meredith came to see the island not only as a place of history, but as a living contemporary landscape shaped by artists whose voices remain deeply underrepresented beyond Sicily.

Nomad Art Collective grew from this realization. Meredith partnered with Melissa Sack, Gallery Director, who is originally from Philadelphia, but currently living in Sambuca di Sicilia.

Together, Meredith and Melissa work exclusively with Sicilian artists to develop exhibitions and projects that explore landscape, cultural memory, architecture, and the human experience.

Artists and Program

Nomad represents a focused roster of contemporary Sicilian artists working across painting, photography, sculpture, and mixed media.

The gallery presents and sells original artworks online and through exhibitions.

Their practices are shaped by place and by Sicily’s physical, cultural, and psychological landscapes. The work engages themes of memory, identity, environment, and the human experience, translating local realities into contemporary visual language.

Nomad works closely with each artist through long term collaboration and thoughtful exhibition development, positioning Sicilian artists within a broader international context.

Nomad Art Collective presents exhibitions and original artworks available online worldwide.
