Together they become one continuous landscape.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eEtna and Fuji are both sacred presences in the cultures that live beneath them, mountains of myth, fear and devotion. By setting them side by side Serradifalco draws a line between Sicily and Japan, between Mediterranean and Pacific, suggesting that from the satellite's distance the borders we draw dissolve and what remains is a shared planet with shared forms.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eWeb Landscape Photography, begun in 2011, is the founding project of Serradifalco's practice and made him one of the first artists to create photographic series exclusively through satellite maps, virtually traveling the planet in search of new ways of observing and reinterpreting the landscapes of the Earth. The images are not manipulated.
