He studied at the Istituto d’Arte in Sciacca before pursuing further studies in mathematics, reflecting a long-standing interest in the dialogue between art and science.

Since 2019 he has taught mathematics and physics while continuing his artistic research. His work combines figurative elements with geometric structures, often treating the canvas as a conceptual space where mathematical relationships, color, and form interact.

In recent years, Maniscalco has developed a material-based approach, incorporating fragments of ceramics, wood, plastic, and found elements into his paintings. These broken or discarded pieces are reassembled on the surface, creating new compositions in which memory, matter, and abstraction coexist. Inspired by the colors of Sicily and the decorative tradition of majolica, his works evoke layered landscapes and surreal spatial dimensions, balancing structure and emotion, order and intuition. He lives and works in Sicily.

reflects on excess, desire, and the impossibility of completeness.
